Kodak & State Farm kindly offered a "behind the firewall" view of how they've leveraged engagement tools to build, measure and follow relationships within their organizations.

Session Summary

•Al Brakoniecki of Kodak discussed how The Poll has been instrumental in keeping employees engaged and reinforcing a positive corporate culture for an organization in transition.

•Al and his team look to participation rates and free form comments as leading indicators in gauging the pulse of their community. Kodak continues to use comments to inform future communications and demonstrate that management is listening.

•State Farm's Fraser Engerman shared a sneak peek of The News Hub, State Farm’s daily Intranet news and information source and how The Poll & Comment Engine have been seamlessly integrated to give State Farm employees and agents a vehicle for voicing their opinions.

•Since its launch in 2007 there's been great response to the State Farm News Hub - and they've got the numbers to prove it! To date, nearly 3 million completed polls, over 24,000 comments, 4,000 replies and 45,000 recommendations. By leveraging polls and comments in their internal communications, State Farm is able to tap into what employees are thinking, asking for, and talking about.

Steven Green shared details of how PollStream's Poll In Facebook will evolve in the coming months to allow you to build and follow relationships more closely. The vision is to go further than connecting people with content and instead connect people with people – let’s focus on the Social Context in 2010.
